To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download 86 year old Mother diagnosed with Bladder cancer I am helping relay information to my sister in law who is the caretaker of her mother my mother in law. My Sister is alone in this and I am across the country, trying to help but the doctors are not very clear with my sister or she does not know the right questions to ask about mom’s Bladder cancer. Mom has had symptoms for a very long time and we found out she had been bleeding for months once my sister got her to a doctor she only had 4 pints of blood left in her system…very scary! After they got her stable the did a (transurethral resection) the doctors said it is a transitional cancer in the muscle but we don’t have a definate if it is in deep muscle, but our understanding is that is has not invaded outside of the bladder. The doctors said the best treatments were to do a cystoprostatectomy or Chemo but both were thought not to be in her best interest due to her age of 86. She is scheduled to start radiation next week. We are unclear as to the stage. Questions we have, how fast does bladder grow, I can’t find anything on this anywhere. Also are there any other questions we should be asking the doctors or a place where I can get more specific informaion? Thank you so much for any help that I can pass on long distance! Vicky Comments
