To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Bladder Cancer I am a caregiver for my wife who at 70 found out she had bladder cancer In the beginning I quickly came to the conclusion that the urologist didn’t know much about what he was talking about. He went from, “I see cancer every day and it doesn’t look like cancer”, to a month later recommending we find a good cancer hospital. Even then, we had long waits to get appointments and then to have biopsies done in order to find out that the tumor was large and the recommendation was a radical cystectomy. That has now been done and 1 of 11 lymph nodes showed cancer but none of the removed organs did. Now it looks like chemo is recommended because the cancer type is small cell/aggressive. Can’t readily find info on small cell bladder cancer chemo protocols. Wonder if the average oncologist has the experience to deal with this type of cancer. Comments
