Move on and find your place

Dear Devastated Christine,

Dec 19th 2007 my famliy’s lives also changed with the news of brain cancer in my 36 yr old brother. Our story equally as sad as any other, but I write to you not to compare, but to urge you to find your place. As we come together as a famliy, I’ve quickly seen that we all have our gifts and place. My Dad is the “head medical man” able to do battle and make sure tests are done ASAP. He has teams set up already to give second opinions once pathology reports come in. My other brother is the point guy, always available to do anything asked of him without any questions. A can do guy. My sister-in-law is one to bring a smile to my brothers face like no one else can in the face of pain and uncertainty. His 2 kids, 18months and 4yrs, provide a link to life at it’s simplest form asking questions like can we take the cool hospital bed home?

My point is find your place. My place will come in the future when treatment starts. For now I support my mom and meet her needs while she meets everyone elses. Please focus on this not on your saddness. God bless!!!
