To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Brain Tumor Hi my name is Terri. I had suffered with simple partial siezures since 1978. It wasn’t until 1980 that I was diagnosed with epilepsy I had been on all the different seizure meds and still kept having seizures In 1995 my new neurologist decided to do an MRI It showed that I had a brain tumor. In communicating with my old neurologist all my CT scans had shown a turmor and that doctor never told me. So April 1996 I decided to have surgery. They got most of the tumor but not all of it. It turned out to be an Oligodendroglioma. The doctors decided not to do any treatment on it such as radiation because that would be more detrimental to me. It has now been 12years since my surgery and I am now seizure free. I am off my seizure medication and no longer need to see my neurologist or have followup MRI’s. I was angry that I was never told about the tumor early on. But the way science is now I think it was safer for me to have the surgery at a later date. Comments
