To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download persistent tumor My husband was diagnosed with rectal cancer Stage1 t2, no, last march. Because he didn’t want a colonoscopy, he opted instead for chemo (fu-5)/radiation (IMRT) and excision of the tumor in July. All went well and his margins were clear. Three months later he has a new tumor in the old spot that the surgeon says has evolved into a more aggressive and undifferentiated one. Now he has to go back for the more radical surgery and colonoscopy and they want to do another CT/PET to see if it’s spread. Does anyone out there have a similiar story and can you help me understand what’s going on and what to expect. thanks Comments
