Seven years ago my wife’s routine colonoscopy revealed two polops, which were removed. During the past seven years she was urged to return for a colonoscopy. She never did; she didn’t like the fluid she had to drink as part of the prep. Because she is a diabetic, the simpler one or two pill prep was not available for her. In November 2007 she was diagnosed as having Stage 4 colon cancer that has metatstised [metastasized] to her lung. This coming Friday she will undergo colon resection because of bowel obstruction. And then..we can continue chemotherapy And all because she didn’t want to drink a few quarts of prep liquid!
