hi i am a 53 yr old grandmother and was diagnosed with colon cancer on my mothers 73rd birthday.I have no family history of the disease,i thought i was healthy eating right i excersize don’t drink or smoke.I’ve been seeing blood in stools and made an apointment to get a colonoscope, he found a small mass in the descending colon. the dr. said it probably started growing 10yrs ago, i will be having surgery to remove it. I was scared to death and still am,i cant sleep or eat, my husband is very supportive. I recommend everyone to have a colonoscopy at the age of 40. I pray for all of you and your families going thru this.
