To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download My Rock, my husband My husband, Frank, was diagnosed with stage 1 colon cancer in May of 2005. He had a hemicolectomy in June of ‘05. The Dr.’s did not think he needed chemotherapy, since their research indicated that 95% of patients with stage 1 colon cancer did not need chemo after surgery. 2006 was a good year with clean CT/PET scans, but in December of 2006 it was discovered that his cancer had metastasized to his liver. He had a liver resection done followed by two rounds of chemotherapy. In January of 2008, it was discovered that the chemo was not working and his cancer had spread to his liver again and also to his lungs. He is currently (April 2009)undergoing another round of chemo this time an oral dose and so far is tolerating it well. We will not know if this is working or not until the end of this month when he is scheduled for another PET scan. He is the strongest person I have ever known and has endured all of this with little complaint. Please remember him in your prayers. Thank you. Comments
