To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download No Symptoms Hi, I was diagnosed with Stage IIA Grade 1 endometrial cancer on October 6th., 2008. I have since had a total abdominal hysterectomy bilateral salipingo oopherectomy, lymph node removal, and omentumectomy. I had no signs or symptoms that lead me to believe something was wrong. I have always had abnormal menstrual cycles from the time they began when I was twelve. I wish that they would stop calling this a cancer that is mostly found in women who are in menopause. I was not in menopause and have read numerous stories about women in their 20’s, 30’s and like me 41. I did have alot of the contributing factors such as infertility, PCOS, overweight but not always, and hypertension and never given birth to a child. I am going to start External Radiation on Monday for the next five weeks and then once that is complete will be going in for internal radiation. Hopefully that will be the end of treatments except for the follow up visits. All though this has been very difficult on me I have a very strong support group which has helped me significantly. All I can say is if you are having abnormal bleeding etc. insist that your doctor do something to further investigate it, and if he or she won’t find a doctor that will listen. Comments
