To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Husband with Esophageal Cancer Jerry was 47 years old, and diagnosed with cancer. That was in Sept 1997. He had surgery and they removed 6 inchs of the esophogus, and then had 12 rounds of chemo and then 30 radiation treatments. He is doing well, he has stomach problems, throw up for no reason. Pain in chest, that can not be found what is causing it. He is back to work, he lost his job after being off 6 months, which he was just starting radiation, so had to find a new one, and start over. This winter he saw his oncologist and he said he did not want to see him, cause he did not have cancer. That was the best news. His treatment was all done at a very good hospital. He is alive and doing ok… He love to fish, hunt and ride ATV. He never smoked, he did drink in his younger years, but quit in the early 80’s. There is hope out there. Good Luck to you all. April 2007
