Esophagus Cancer stage 3

My husband had stomach pains for years. He was treated for acid reflux, nexium wasn’t helping so he went back to the Dr who said he had a virus and gave him an antibiotic.

That didn’t help so he gave him a pain medicine. He never did a test of any kind to determine his problem.
The last time he went I told him to insist on some tests. They scheduled him for a CT scan that did not show anything. Then they did an ultra sound that also did not show cancer. Finally they did an endoscopy. The Dr. told us he was 99% sure it was cancer.

We went to 30 sessions of radiation therapy and 6 weeks of chemotherapy Both made him so sick . He couldn’t be more misreable. If he can get stronger and gain weight they might be able to do the surgery. He is living with a feeding tube. It has been 2 weeks since therapy ended and he is still weak, dizzy and throws up constantly.

The only solution the Dr’s have is to take more anti nausea and pain drugs.

I don’t know if it is better to hope he can have surgery or not. I have heard so many negative things about surgery, but I don’t know how he can continue like he is.
