To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Targeted Therapy for NSCLC A week ago my fiancee was diagnosed with stage 3b adenocarcinoma with a large plueral effusion, but no apparent metastasis. She is Asian and has never smoked. Because of this her doctor put her on a targeted therapy using Tarceva. We are currently living in Thailand. In the US, this therapy is only used after one round of unsuccessful chemotherapy After only three days on Tarceva my fiancee’s plueral effusion has reduced and her other symptoms appear to have improved. Chemotherapy and possibly radiation therapy, may still be necessary, but we are hoping that the Tarceva alone, together with certain diet changes, will allow her to avoid the ravages of these.
