It ain’t gonna get me!

by: Bob on Wed, May 28 2008

In February, 2004 I was told I had prostate cancer In March, 2004 I was told I had a deep malignant melanoma on my scalp. April found me in an operating room for about 15 hours getting rid of these cancers. Then I began a year of chemo (self-injected). I have become a very active ACS volunteer.
Last Thursday I was told, for the third time, that I have cancer. This time, it’s lung cancer. Surgery will soon be scheduled to get rid of this latest scourge.
My attitude is that it ain’t gonna get me! I will continue to go about all my volunteer activities and be an active grandpa for my 5 grandkids. I will continue to be a leader of both Cub and Boy Scouts.
This may be my third hit, but I’ve beat it twice and will beat it again!
