Stage IV stomach cancer

by: Janet A. on Wed, Aug 08 2007

My husband has been diagnosed with Stage IV stomach cancer, which has metastisized to the spine. He is now finished with the second cycle of chemo. It was doubtful at first that he would even survive this long, but he is doing well. The chemo is tough but it seems to be working.

He has a j-tube into the small intestine, but can now eat some foods by mouth. He went through radiation treatments for the spinal lesions and is no longer in pain. It has been a very difficult three months but my advice is never give up hope and take things one day at a time.
