To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download My father’s battle with gastric cancer I just found out in March that my dad has stomach cancer. I can’t believe it. He seemed to be in good health but back in November 2007 he said he was experiencing stomach cramps (especially after he ate food) and then while jogging he kept getting short winded (he has been jogging 8 miles for 20 years). After tests were done (they possibly thought it was his heart/lungs), doctors said he had anemia (loosing blood) and had a blood transfusion. They then did a CT scan and other tests to find out he had stomach cancer. He had surgery on April 8 and it was quite successful, however, after the pathology report came back, the cancer had spread to some of his lymp nodes. (stage 3). I was heart broken–in response to Marie and Paul–I know what you are going through. I’m also trusting in God and my savior Jesus that he will be alright..He starts chemo on 5/14. I’m praying that this cancer is gone, in the name of Jesus. Please anyone seeing this blog pray for my dad–he is 65 years old. thanks so much and God Bless Loretta Comments
