I was having the pain in the left testical and it went on about two weeks. I started feeling the area and yes I felt the lumps on the left side. I went to my Dr. and of course my wife is a nurse there. He beleived it to be cancer but wanted me to get a ultrasound right away. Well the LADY who does it at my wifes office was in that day so as embarased as I was I agreed. That was confirmed to be cancer. I was then sent to a urology clinic where two more Doctors had to check and feel.Yep they both said it needs to get taken out now. Two days later I was at the hospital getting it removed.yesterday I went back to see my dr and get a ct scan of my abdomin, pelvis, and chest. Dr said the path report on the testicle shows I have a rare agressive non seminoma cancer. It does not appear to have spread far but I will be undergoing major surgery to do a lymph node dissection in my abdomin. I will be out of work for about 6-8 weeks, in the hospital about 5 days but it will determine my next 50 years so I guess it will be worth it.My Dr. wants to be sure the stage and then we will figure out if and how much chemo I will need. Sorry it is so long but that is my story so far. I am 29 yrs old. It can happen to any of us. So if you feel that pain or just a lump GO GET IT CHECKED. Being embarrased only lasts for the first Dr. After that the next 50 times, its a breeze. If there is anyone reading this who has had the lymph node dissection let me know how it went. Comments
